How to summon a demon

Step #1: Choose a demon to make contact with

Since not all demons are created equally, you need to do your research before committing to summoning one—especially with such a wide variety of temperaments and specialties. Need answers to your impending question, try summoning Astaroth or Asmodeus. Trying for a promotion at work? Belial should be your pick. Need some law advice? You better call Eligor from the fires. That said, if you need a mellow demon that’s known for being human-friendly, goetic demons are the best choice!

Step #2: Prepare your request

This isn’t your food order at a restaurant. Summoning a demon can be a dangerous undertaking, so you want to make sure that you have a specific purpose in mind before unleashing any potential terror. We also suggest that you treat demons with honesty and respect. Don’t command, demand, or attempt to exploit them in any way. A carefully prepared request will help you, and the demon, achieve your goal.

Step #3: Be prepared to offer something in return

It probably goes without saying, but when asking for the assistance of a demon, it’s proper etiquette to offer something in return…and most will require it. Instead of selling your soul like the genre often demands, demons are reasonable beings. Consider offering some publicity for the demon, opting to work against their enemy, or work to advance Satanism overall.

Step #4: Choose your method to contact and summon the demon

After determining the “who” and the “what” in your equation of how to summon a demon, you will then want to decide on which method you will use for contact. Those who’re experienced with conjuring will have the power to physically see and/or hear the demon. Less experienced individuals will need to invoke the energy of the demon by speaking to it telepathically.

Step #5: Prepare your mind

Step #8: Focus on the demon’s sigil and recite their prayer

Each demon has an iconic sigil to represent itself. Study it and memorize its shape. Close your eyes and visualize said sigil while chanting the name of the demon and reciting the Demon’s Prayer.

“Lord Satan, by your grace, grant me, I pray thee the power to conceive in my mind and to execute that which I desire to do, the end which I would attain by thy help, O Mighty Satan, the one True God who livest and reignest forever and ever. I entreat thee to inspire [name of Demon] to manifest before me that he/she may give me a true and faithful answer, so that I may accomplish my desired end, provided that it is proper to his/her office. This I respectfully and humbly ask in Your Name, Lord Satan, may you deem me worthy, Father.”
