**ATTN: Spoilers

While delayed by an extra year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fans are excited for the final installment of the latest Halloween trilogy to join the franchise. Entitled, Halloween Ends, one would expect the slaughtering evil to finally die. However, if we know Michael Myers, it isn’t uncommon for him to traipse away into darkness after wall-to-wall slaughter. Here’s everything we know about the film so far.

Familiar cast members have returned

Although many originals didn’t make it to the franchise “finale”, there are some familiar cast members coming back to the big screen—Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, Andi Matichak as Allyson Nelson, Will Patton as Deputy Hawkins (resurrected from the dead), Omar Dorsey as Sheriff Barker, and Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace.

It takes place four years after Halloween Kills

Expanding on the narrative from Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends exhibits a four-year time jump. However, we’re currently unsure of what events cue the start of the upcoming film. That said, its predecessor ends with the slaughter of Karen Strode (Judy Greer), and in the extended version, Laurie Strode is seen calling out to Karen from her hospital bed. Hopefully, this bold move has a bloodcurdling payoff.

The pandemic will be part of the plot

We’ve all lived through the COVID-19 pandemic, which has inspired filmmakers to add this real-world parallel to their boogeyman narrative. While we don’t know exactly how the tragedies of the world will impact the plot, we assume that Halloween Ends will explore the trauma experienced by the town of Haddonfield after the bloody and brutal murders.
